Well, yesterday’s breakfast was yummy. I think I ate more than I did at the Christmas Eve party. The hash brown casserole was the best thing. Plenty of cheese, and I didn’t even take my supplement. Then I slept the afternoon away. Nothing noteworthy to add.
Well, I could rant about family issues a bit. It’s nothing that involves me directly, but my brother ranted to me about it. His computer got smashed by a powerful virus, and according to him, Dad is “blaming him” for it. I just don’t get it, ‘cause it’s not like he hasn’t tried to protect himself. My brother also says that Dad “blames him” for not being able to find a job. It’s confounding, because I’ve always known my dad to be able to fix any computer problem. But now it seems like he’s become a totally different person. And of course, talking about it also brought back memories of the other incident that happened several years ago...
I could talk about the “gender” file I have for my FE Tales patch. This is just where I start a new file, and then after the split paths, I separate the guys from the girls. Then I’d only use the girls for Shirley’s route, and then the guys for Senel’s route. The first chapter is pretty rough for the girls, being so few of them – Shirley, Colette, Arche, Chloe, Natalia, and then recruiting Anise in the chapter. But by chapter 11, when I’ll have Sheena, Thyra, Norma, and Grune, I should be okay for that route. Senel’s route can be just as challenging with fewer healers.
I’m getting really anxious for Tales of the Abyss now. Maybe it’s because of the battle system, or my urge to record battles and insert different music. Or maybe it’s to learn the characterization in order to finish my Legendia/Abyss crossover fic. I’ve only played a few battles, when my brother and I visited each other (‘cause he owns the game and I don’t). So this is like, the first battle I’ve ever done. Well, I did fight a few random battles before this one to get a hang of Guy. But mostly I just “imported” the tactics I used with Lloyd in Symphonia. And my brother was nice enough to show me how to perform the hu-ougi, so I managed to pull it off in this battle...I think it was only once. This battle was also recorded about two years ago. Damn, two years??
I really like the music I inserted in this one. =)
